Breathe And Exercise the Qi

This exercise strengthens respiration, increases pulmonary ventilation and oxygen absorption to strengthen the circulation of vital Qi.

Effective in the treatment of coughs and asthma.

Opening posture: stand with feet shoulder-width apart, arms by sides.

  • Inhale slowly, expanding both the arms and chest, when lifting up the arms (palms up) sideways above the head until fingertips nearly touch (palms down).
  • Exhale and slowly press down both the hands in front of the body with fingers opposite each other returning to the original position.

Move naturally and harmoniously. Incorrect movements are failing to spread the arms and expand the chest when lifting both the arms up or failing to press down both the hands in front of the body.
