Fu Sheng Yuan (1931 - ) is the son of Fu Zhong Wen and Zou Kuei Cheng, great grand-daughter of Yang Jian Hou.

 

He began training Taijiquan with his father at the age of 9 and eventually followed in his footsteps by becoming a teacher at the Tonji University, Shanghai College of Economics, Shanghai Institute of Chemical Engineering and the Ching-Wu Association. He has also been a referee on numerous occasions in international martial arts competitions.

 

In 1989, he emigrated with his family to Perth, Australia, where he founded the Fu Sheng Yuan International Tai Chi Academy.

 

He has been awarded the grading of 8th dan (Silver Dragon Badge) by the Chinese  Wushu Association and has also been appointed “Chinese Wushu Rank System Liasoner of Overseas Development Committee Member” which authorises him to organise and officiate in Wushu competitions and grading examinations internationally for the Chinese Wushu Association. In addition, the Association has conferred on him a lifetime acievement award for his contribution in promoting Tai Chi around the world.

 

Fu Sheng Yuan is President of the World Yong Nian Taijiquan Federation and continues to tour the world demonstrating and teaching his art. He has also written many books on the subject. Visit Links for further info.
