I am a former contemporary dancer and Dance-
My practice in Lian Gong Shi Ba Fa began in 1998 as part of my treatment for a knee injury. When I met Dr. Zhuang Yuan Ming the following year he prescribed 200 circle knees of Qian Shi Ba Fa a day. My group of colleagues attended the biennial Brazilian Lian Gong Shi Ba Fa congress in Santos and we were awarded an “A” Grade by Dr Zhuang and his team.
Our teacher, Maria Lucia Lee, learned Lian Gong Shi Ba Fa from Dr. Zhuang in the
1980’s and brought the healthy therapeutic system from Shanghai to Brazil. She founded
the Brazilian Lian Gong Shi Ba Fa Association and introduced the routines to the
academic environment via on-
I can say that, today, Maria Lucia Lee has developed an army of teachers,, doctors, physiotherapists, dancers, sportsmen and Lian Gong Shi Ba Fa practitioners who all contribute towards the excellence and continuing growth of Lian Gong Shi Ba Fa practice in Brazil and other parts of North and South America.
Maria Lucia Lee started a very long and vast work believing and caring about the theory, key principles, quality of movement and continuous learning of Lian Gong Shi Ba Fa. I am proud of being one of her pupils and being part of promoting Lian Gong in Brazil.
